Compost top dress

Gardeners call compost “black gold” because it is one of the most valuable components in the make up of soil. A soil that is rich in organic matter acts like a sponge and will hold water and nutrients so it’s available for the root system of the plants. Compost will also replace or add to the micro biology that is in the soil, which is key to soil health. By applying ¼ inch of compost over the lawn (top dressing) we not only helping the soil texture, but we are adding beneficial organisms to the soil.

We can perform tests and analyze the property and determine what steps should be taken to create or transition a lawn to an organic program. We can then provide you with a step by step program to make the transition to an organic lawn. Based on a soil test we can give you the exact program that fits your property needs and make the proper recommendations for on going maintenance. This program can be implemented by you or it can be given to your current landscape service. We call this the “Do it yourself program.” Here is what’s included for a one time fee:

Soil testing & site analysis (one test included)
Custom plan booklet which includes:
- Season long consulting about your lawn and problem solving
- Periodic check up’s to see if any adjustments need to be made
